HOW TO GET TO PLAYA DE GANDÍA BY TRAIN
Gandía has a Renfe Cercanías commuter train station. To reach the city, you must take the train from Valencia’s Estación del Norte, as there is no direct connection from Alicante.
If you arrive in Valencia from Madrid or another part of Spain via AVE (high-speed train), a free bus connects Joaquín Sorolla Station (where the AVE arrives) with Estación del Norte, where you can board a Cercanías train to Gandía.

HOW TO GET TO PLAYA DE GANDÍA BY BUS
Taking a bus is one of the easiest and most comfortable ways to get to Playa de Gandía. From Madrid and Tarancón, Auto-Res AvanzaBus operates routes stopping in both the city and Playa de Gandía.
In the city, buses arrive at the train-bus station in Plaça Parc de l'Estació, 7. Meanwhile, in Playa de Gandía, Auto-Res AvanzaBus has two stops: one at Passeig Marítim de Neptú, 55, and another near Hotel Tres Anclas, at Plaça del Temple, 1—just a 5-minute walk away. Additionally, Alsa provides connections from Valencia and Alicante but only to Gandía’s main bus station, not to the beach. From Gandía, you can take the Marina Gandiense bus to reach the coast.
HOW TO GET TO PLAYA DE GANDÍA BY PLANE
The two nearest airports are in Valencia and Alicante:
- The Valencia Manises Airport is 86 km from Gandía. From there, you can travel to Gandía by train, bus, taxi, or rental car.
- The Alicante-Elche Airport is 126 km from Gandía. You can reach Gandía via Alsa bus, taxi, or rental car.
HOW TO GET TO PLAYA DE GANDÍA BY CAR
If you’re renting a car, AVIS and HERTZ allow you to rent in your departure city and return the vehicle in Gandía:
- AVIS is located at Guitarrista Salvador García, 14, in Gandía.
- HERTZ is in the Alcodar Industrial Park in Gandía.
The main access roads to Gandía are:
- The AP7 (now toll-free since January 1, 2020) and the N332, connecting it to Valencia and Alicante.
- The A31-A35, which connects it to Albacete.
When driving on the AP7, take exit 60 (not 61) to avoid traffic delays in Bellreguard. If you want to go directly to the beach, follow signs for Playa de Gandía rather than Gandía Nord.
Public Transport Options Within Gandía
If you arrive in Gandía by train or bus, you can reach Playa Nord de Gandía via:
- La Marina Gandiense urban bus service, operating from 6:30 AM to 12:30 AM, with multiple stops along the beach. Ticket prices range from €1.50 to €1.60, depending on the day of the week.

Gandía is about 65 km from Valencia:
- By train, the journey takes approximately 1 hour.
