Discover the Authorized Kite Channel at the Playa de Gandia, very close to the Hotel Tres Anclas. La Safor is the region with the most authorized kite channels in the entire Comunitat Valenciana, with exactly five, spread across a coastline of approximately 28 kilometers in length.
Just north of Gandia, near Xeraco, you'll find the next authorized kite channel at the Playa de l’Ahuir, managed by the Kitesurf l’Ahuir sports association, which is not affiliated with the FVCV. This beach is amazing, and despite being close to Gandia's bustling urban beach filled with tourists, this northern section remains uncrowded due to its unspoiled natural environment, making it a delightful place to visit. While the llebeig wind doesn't perform well here, it is arguably the best wave spot on the coast when the garbí wind is blowing. The requirements to access this channel are the same as those for other similar channels.
Another channel in Gandia is located at the Marenys de Rafalcaid Beach, just before the Grau de Gandia, approximately 4 kilometers to the north. This channel brings back good memories for me, as a Formula Kite Spanish Cup was held there, which I was fortunate enough to win. It is managed by the Kitesurf Gandía Club, affiliated with the FVCV, and the requirements for access are the same as those for most channels with similar characteristics.
