Playa de Rafalcaid, the last beach on Gandía's coastline
Playa de Rafalcaid, located on the Mediterranean coast of Gandía, is a beach that will certainly surprise you. Among all the "urban" beaches, known for their proximity to the population, Playa de Rafalcaid stands out. This charming beach of fine golden sand lies south of the Serpis River's mouth, surrounded by a mix of traditional fishermen's houses and modern homes that will captivate you.
The Playa de Rafalcaid is the last beach on Gandía's southern coastline, stretching approximately 880 meters long and 40 meters wide. This urban beach with its fine golden sand is easily accessible, being integrated within the town itself. Without a doubt, it’s one of the must-visit beaches among all the Beaches of Gandía.
A small line of dunes filled with typical Mediterranean vegetation will welcome you to this family-friendly beach with warm waters. You'll find services such as showers, foot baths, trash bins, lifeguards, and a sports area.
For kitesurf enthusiasts, there is a dedicated area on the northern side of this beach for practicing kitesurfing and other water sports such as surfing.
How to get to Playa de Rafalcaid?
You can reach the beach by car via the Nazaret–Oliva road and park near the southern area of the Serpis River’s mouth. Carrer Marenys takes you to the beachfront just a few meters from the sand.
